Senior Business Analyst

 Marine Tiger Technologies is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst with significant experience to deliver strategic and practical consulting to our expanding customer base. Experience in transit and transportation preferred however other large-scale infrastructure industry experience, such as airports, and water & power utilities, will be considered.  Marine Tiger is proud to offer health care, 401k and the opportunity for flexible hours and remote work.

Position Responsibilities

The selected candidate will lead a broad array of project tasks including facilitating workshops, documenting current and new processes and technology initiatives in a customer-oriented environment where attention to detail is critical. The candidate’s demonstrated ability to provide leadership, communicate, and collaborate will be a key to success in this role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Gather and document business processes to support the development and implementation of customer strategy and business plans
  • Lead requirements capturing sessions, including stakeholder workshops, challenging where necessary, to drive consensus across departments
  • Manage project requirements, develop project deliverables, perform status reporting
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources and reconcile conflicts
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, providing exceptional communications ensuring project objectives are met.
  • Mentor MTT resources and conduct internal training on industry best practices
  • Identify business development opportunities utilizing personal and professional network in the asset management community

Qualifications

Candidates must present the following qualifications to be considered eligible for this position:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Planning, Business / Public Administration, Engineering, Operations Research, or fields related to transportation and technology from an accredited college or university.
  • At least seven years of public sector consulting experience or similar experience with a public agency
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively, both orally and in writing.
  • A commitment to getting things done and taking on whichever tasks are needed to ensure success
  • Able to get up to speed quickly and take initiative; ability to be innovative and decisive.
  • Proven ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize workload and follow through on tasks independently
  • Able to delegate tasks and provide guidance for successful execution
  • Experience developing / recommending relevant key performance indicators and analyzing relevant data
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities and comfort gathering, analyzing, and drawing actionable conclusions and recommendations

Desired

Ideal candidates will present the following profile:

  • Experience with Enterprise Asset Management Information Systems as a user, maintenance manager, implementer or other related capacity
  • Working knowledge of transit/transportation technology, including application lifecycle, portfolio management, development and configuration, and data and analytics
  • Knowledge of specific technology including GIS, modeling principles for asset management, transportation planning or other industry applications
