SENIOR ASSET MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT

 

We are seeking a dynamic professional to join our asset management consulting practice and to deliver strategic and hands-on consulting. Experience in Transit and Transportation required.

Position Responsibilities

The selected candidate will lead a broad array of asset management projects including engaging with cross functional stakeholders to develop and implement systematic processes to manage risk to organizational objectives. The candidate must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and capable of handling tasks independently to completion.  The demonstrated ability to provide organizational leadership, professionally document and communicate project activities, and synthesize various stakeholder needs and contributions are necessary to succeed in this role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively seek out and understand project requirements to ensure the highest quality standards in all project deliverables
  • Gather and document business processes to support the development and implementation of customer asset management strategies and business plans
  • Lead requirements capturing sessions, including stakeholder workshops, driving consensus across departments and challenging where necessary
  • Skillful project management including leading cross-functional teams through all project phases from conception and initiation, planning, execution, performance/monitoring and closure
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true project requirements
  • Actively contribute to Asset Management, Transit, Transportation or similar industry working groups, committees or subcommittees
  • Identify business development opportunities utilizing personal and professional networks in the asset management community
  • Participate in MTT internal communication meetings and attend in person meetings in NYC at least once a year
  • Assist with business development activities as needed
  • Potential travel 10%

Qualifications:

Candidates must present the following qualifications to be considered eligible for this position:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Planning, Business / Public Administration, Engineering, Operations Research, or fields related to transportation and asset management from an accredited college or university.
  • At least ten years of relevant work experience in enterprise asset management

Desired:

Ideal candidates will present the following profile:

  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively, both orally and in writing
  • Superior ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize workload efficiently and effectively, and follow through
  • Working knowledge of transit/transportation infrastructure assets and operations
  • Working knowledge of strategic asset management subjects and physical asset lifecycle management
  • Knowledge of asset hierarchy concepts
  • Experience with Enterprise Asset Management Information Systems as a user, maintenance manager, implementer or other related capacity
  • Experience facilitating client workshops to collect information and develop task deliverables including process flow charts, writing operating procedures, assessment reports, and end-user documentation (e.g., user guides)
  • Experience developing / recommending relevant key performance indicators and analyzing relevant data
  • A commitment to getting things done and taking on whichever tasks are needed to ensure success
  • The capacity to get up to speed and take initiative; and, demonstrated ability to take independent actions and to be innovative and decisive
  • Able to delegate tasks and provide guidance for successful execution
  • Possess a high level of proficiency in utilizing PC software applications including Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio) SharePoint.
  • Experience with GIS and PowerBI a plus

BUSINESS ANALYST

Location: New York or Philadelphia metropolitan areas

Travel Requirements: Up to 25%

Performance Evaluation: The business analyst’s performance will be measured by the timeliness and quality of their deliverables, teamwork and customer engagement.

  • Drive stakeholder workshops and meetings to collect, analyze, and document customer’s processes and requirements.
  • Capture customer processes to prioritize immediate business needs and recommend options, risks and cost analysis.
  • Align and influence customer strategic goals
  • Produce and present deliverables and operational business plans in support of executing customer strategy.

  • Strong interpersonal skills & business acumen
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of business, data or process analysis, public sector preferred.
  • Dynamic, engaging candidate; detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to ask the right questions to discover client needs and adapt communication style to speak with all organization levels
  • Experience driving the development of high quality, detailed deliverables
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Technically fluent
  • Experience in an asset intensive industry a plus.
  • Project management experience is a plus
