PROJECT SCHEDULER

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling software and Microsoft Project.
  • Knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling.
  • Ability to analyze schedules to determine duration and logical issues.
  • Experience with construction schedules for the design-build phase of the projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction practices and sequencing.
  • Proficiency in developing detailed resource loaded design and construction schedules, preparing progress/status reports and performing earned value analysis.
  • Familiarity with time impact analysis.
  • Experience in integrating the construction schedule into the master schedule.
  • Familiarity with engineering and construction related terminology.
  • Knowledge of construction claims and change orders.

 Responsibilities

  • Review construction schedules with supporting documentation to assist the project teams.
  • Evaluate and monitor the contractors’ progress schedule.
  • Consult and troubleshoot issues throughout the construction of the project.
  • Analyze schedules to determine duration and logic issues.
  • Develop detailed resource loaded design and construction schedules.
  • Prepare progress/status reports and perform earned value analysis.

Education and Experience

  • Degree in engineering, architecture, information technology, or construction management, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-10 years of experience.

Hybrid Position

This is a full-time, in-person position. Work will be onsite at a client location in New York City five days a week.

Salary Range

Salary will commensurate with experience and is in the range of $125,000-$220,000 annually.

COST PRICE ANALYST

 Requirements

  • Experience in procurement and cost management within the heavy civil construction industry.
  • Proven negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, compliance standards, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with engineering and construction related terminology.

 Responsibilities

  • Develop price schedules/bid sheets, in concert with Procurement and other internal departments.
  • Ensure that price schedules/bid sheets are formatted in a way that will become reimbursable while offering the most savings and protection to the client.
  • Conduct cost price analysis of proposals/bids received across multiple procurements.
  • Present cost price analysis to Procurement, any applicable selection committee members, and other client-related stakeholders during pre-award briefings.
  • Support procurement staff in contract negotiations as it relates to price.
  • Draft fair and reasonable determination memos for all newly awarded contracts and change orders.
  • Act as a liaison to procurement during the change order process or if there is a dispute that arises regarding pricing after award.
  • Draft justifications for variances between ICE estimates and awarded amounts in concert with other internal departments.
  • Assist in future audits as it pertains to price.

Education and Experience

  • Degree in business administration, procurement, supply chain management or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Five or more years of experience.
  • Project management certification (i.e. PMP) is desirable.

Hybrid Position

This is a full-time, hybrid position. Three days are required in the New York City or Newark (NJ) office, and two days are remote.

Job Duties: Handle the project database through ProCore, SharePoint and Primavera. Review, evaluate and monitor the construction schedule. Read and interpret construction plans and shop drawings for Nassau County  DPW projects. Analyze civil survey reports, drawings, and project plans. Review contractor requisitions. Prepare correspondence letters for the Commissioner of Nassau County. Review and process subcontractors and vendor for County approval. Conduct field inspections for quality assurance. Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced resilience and emergency preparedness consultant to join our nationwide team. This position is responsible for all-hazards risk assessment, mitigation planning, and development of policies and procedures on behalf of critical infrastructure clients. This role is remote and will support nationwide projects with other team members.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform asset-based risk assessments focusing on climate change threats, malevolent threats, natural hazards, and other dependency and technology hazards.
  • Develop strategic, operational, and tactical plans to reduce risk, increase resilience, and foster effective emergency preparedness.
  • Lead multi-agency, multi-discipline planning processes.
  • Collaborate with private and public sector agencies and other stakeholders to develop coordinated strategies and to align expectations regarding roles and responsibilities.
  • Manage project delivery and resources.
  • Facilitate virtual and in person planning meetings.

Qualifications

  • Master’s in Business Administration, Emergency Management, or related field or Bachelor’s with 2 additional years of relevant resilience, emergency preparedness, and operations experience.
  • Minimum 3+ years of consulting experience, public sector or public agency preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating policy and plans in emergency management, resilience, and sustainability in the private and public sectors.
  • 5+ years of experience working collaboratively with a broad base of stakeholders including senior and elected officials.
  • Demonstrated understanding of national preparedness doctrine including the National Planning Frameworks, Threat and Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (THIRA) methodology, National Incident Management System, and Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program.
  • Detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
  • Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and business acumen.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Experience working with FEMA or state and local emergency management agencies or in critical infrastructure sectors, such as power, water or transportation.
  • Able to complete multiple tasks, simultaneously under pressure with very tight deadlines.
  • Prior experience performing risk assessment and risk mitigation.

Pay Range

Multiple factors are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and competencies that align to the specified role, education, and certifications. The pay range for this position is:

$90,000 – $135,000
